Fishing for Classics

Wednesday 16 April, 20:30

Leading the MasterWorkers is Gavin Davies, both a professional violinist and Letherman for over 20 years.

The Masterworkers believe that enjoying classical music shouldn’t require you to be overdressed, uncomfortably seated, or even sober. Come in your full uniforms, casuals leathers, straight from work, and enjoy beautiful music with great company.

Schubert’s Trout Quintet is the focal point of Fishing for Classics, and in between the movements you’ll hear pieces by Piazolla, Schumann, JS Bach, Handel-Halvorsen, as well as the UK premiere of “The Day We Were Butterflies in the Physic Garden” by Simon Pearson.

Performed by professional musicians from London’s top orchestras and introduced with tongue-in-cheek wit, this eclectic programme will appeal to seasoned concert-goers and classic-curious alike (not to mention anyone who wants to see Gavin with his top off).
