28th June: Another update on the London Pride Parade. We are in section C of the parade, at position 115. This means that our arrival window is between 11.30 and 12.30, and all those marching with us need to arrive together. We are next to the Recon group, which is at C114 with their DJ truck.
The expected waiting time in the form-up area is around 90 minutes, and the march will then take about an hour to complete, with another fifteen minutes for dispersal. So, we would expect to be finished by around 1515, though obviously there may be hold-ups on the day. After marching, we will head to the Ship & Shovel for a drink.
We will be meeting before moving into the form up area, to hand out wristbands, which will be distributed by Martin from London Leathermen. The location for this is One Marylebone, the Commonwealth Church, just opposite Great Portland Street station. From there is it a short walk to the form-up area. The meeting time is 11.15, and we need to leave by about 11.50 to get into our position in the parade. If you have not collected your wristband by then, you will not be able to enter for form-up area.
If you wish to march with us, please send an email to pride@bluf.com. Remaining spaces are limited, and we may have to operate a reserve list. If you have already confirmed a place, but cannot make it, please let us know, so we can allocate it to someone else.
